• Celica GT-Four ST205

  • The story of the car before my ownership

I was actually looking for a Nissan 300zx twin turbo, many were seen, many were dismissed. Whilst sitting in the pub one afternoon browsing Pistonheads I decided to play with the new search functionality, a few clicks later and a series of cars came up and nestled in there was a rather good looking Celica GT-Four ST205.

The owner had imported the car in 2009, with one owner in Japan prior to importing, its amazing that I would potentially be just the third owner of a car which was born back in 1995. The owner had kept all import documents, and when I went to see it, was blown away by how clean the car was. I was smitten immediately.

The owner had spent a small fortune on the car, of which can be seen in the various sections of the website. He had it in a lock up along with a multitude of retro sports cars, he had just imported an Escort Cosworth from Dubai, apparently there was so much sand in it, he didn't have time to dedicate to the Celica anymore so was moving it on. In his ownership time of 2009 to 2015 he had done a total of 900 miles and the car was always in a dry storage unit, perfect.

Service wise the car was in great shape, he had replaced nearly all perishables and had the work done at the respected MK Autos garage in Blackburn which specialises in working on Celica GT-Fours.

    August 2017 Walkaround

A walk-around of my Celica GT-Four ST205 - to give you some idea of the condition and modified state of it. I have tried to keep it OEM+ looking without going over the top.

    August 2017 Detailing Session

A fairly short (relatively!) detailing session, Bathe+ shampoo, Clayed, Menzerna Polish and Victoria Concours Wax. Should give a view to how 'red' the red really is - no colour adjustments to this video, straight off my iPhone 7

  • Dyno Run

    Surrey Rolling Road 2015

I took the car down to Surrey Rolling Road for a run on the dyno - I knew the car had some umph as it felt on par with the R33 in a straight line, however was still pretty nervous! 20 minutes after arriving I saw this and left with a big grin. Great result with the car on stock turbo and boost settings.
